Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry has launched the “2023 Sharia Finance Acceleration for Creative Economy and Tourism Sector (AKSES)” program to provide easy financial access for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The ministry has also collaborated with a private sharia securities crowdfunding (SCF) company for implementing the AKSES program. The launch of the program was carried out on Monday (February 20, 2023).

“This securities crowdfunding service provides a financing option with a high value added,” Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno said in a statement released here on Tuesday.

The implementation of the SCF is community-based, and it can generate profits that can be shared equally, he added.

He said he expects the AKSES program to improve the financing for MSMEs and increase their revenues to allow MSMEs to advance.

Deputy for industry and investment at the ministry, Rizki Handayani, said that the MSME sector can support national economic growth and resilience, however, MSME players often face difficulties in obtaining financial access.

“This AKSES program will be implemented in collaboration with LBS (Sharia Business Commission) Urun Dana. Thus, LBS Urun Dana will assess (the MSMEs) from coaching process until they meet the potential investors," she informed.

The chief executive officer of LBS Urun Dana, Rezza Zulkasi, said that by using SCF, MSME actors will not only get financing access opportunities, but also capital funding through shares.

"It (the use of SCF) is interesting because the community can participate as investors. Thus, SCF seems like a mini (stock) exchange, (since it collects) funding through a joint scheme,” he noted.

His party is targeting to get around 100 MSMEs to participate in the AKSES program, with a funding value of Rp1 trillion.

Online registration will be opened at https://akses-kemenparekraf.lbs.id/ for MSMEs who wish to take part in the program. This will be followed by a selection process.

The selected MSMEs will participate in a number of coaching activities, including webinars, boot camps, and mentoring.

Furthermore, the MSMEs will participate in the Sharia Pitching Forum and carry out listing on the www.lbs.id page.

The Creative Economy and Tourism MSME players who are keen to participate in the program are required to have been running for at least two years and need financing between Rp500 million (US$32,831) to Rp10 billion (US$656,610).
