Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Industry Ministry's Bali Creative Industry Center (BCIC) will organize the Creative Business Incubator and Indonesia Fashion and Craft Awards (IFCA) to encourage creative young entrepreneurs in the craft and fashion industry.

BCIC was founded in 2015 to help craft and fashion industry players develop their businesses within the context of meet-share-collaborate.

The Creative Business Incubator activity is undertaken through the classical and assistance method, Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) at The Industry Ministry Reni Yanita said in a statement issued on Friday.

The intention behind this is to help creative young entrepreneurs in fashion and craft grow their business as well as raise their class, she said.

This year's business incubator coaching program series is a continuation of a similar program in 2022. Through the program, participants will receive assistance with the target of increasing their revenue by 100–300 percent.

"The classical session of this year's series of BCIC Creative Business Incubator Activities will begin in June 2023, and it will be accompanied by dissemination and registration period for two months," Yanita said.

"Next, the classical session will be held in September–October 2023," she added.

The program will be held in a hybrid (online and offline) format and will target 60 participants. At the end of the session, participants will get an opportunity to pitch their businesses to potential investors.

According to Yanita, in general, the CBI coaching program has managed to help its alumni in handling problems and developing their businesses.

The program's alumni have managed to improve the production capacity of their businesses, increase revenue, and even raise their businesses' class from micro to small or even medium.

"Moreover, several alumni have also managed to win awards, participate in international exhibitions, and receive funding from investors," she informed.

Meanwhile, ministry official Ni Nyoman Ambareny explained that besides the Creative Business Incubator program, BCIC will also organize the Indonesia Fashion and Craft Awards (IFCA).

The activity will be undertaken as part of an effort to produce young craft designers that have a vision for sustainability.

IFCA is the only design competition that raises the theme of sustainability, Ambareny pointed out.

The event will also provide participants an opportunity to receive prototype creation facilitation and coaching from practitioners of fashion and craft, business, branding, creative economy activists, and local craft partners, she added.

Ambareny said she expects IFCA to strengthen Indonesia's economy through the empowerment of the small and medium industries with local resources and market.

"The 2023 Creative Talk calendar will be held twice per month starting from April 2023. Further information concerning BCIC activities can be gained through the Instagram account @bcicofficial and website bcic-ikm.net," she informed.
