Kupang (ANTARA) - Indonesian Police (Polri), represented by East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) Inspector General Johanis Asadoma, intensified cooperation with the Timor-Leste Police (PNTL) by attending its head's inauguration ceremony in Dili, Timor-Leste, Mar 27.

Head of the Public Relations Division of NTT Police Grand Commissioner Ariasandy stated that Asadoma attended the ceremony on behalf of Polri Chief General Listyo Sigit, who was unable to attend. Asadoma attended the ceremony in hopes of boosting cooperation between Polri and PNTL in guarding border areas.

Three Transboundary Guard Posts (PLBN) in Mota Ain, Motamasin, and Wini are situated between Indonesia and Timor-Leste.

"Kapolda's attendance was also a sign of efforts to further improve the countries' brotherhood ties that have been well-established," Ariasandy affirmed.
