This will create trust because building investors' trust is the most important matterJakarta (ANTARA) - A Japanese business delegation has observed the progress of Nusantara capital city development in East Kalimantan to look into the potential investment in the project, an official of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) said in a statement here, Saturday.
The delegation of the Japan International Association for the Industry of Building and Housing (JIBH) was accompanied by officials from the OIKN and the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry.
"This is a good sign because this visit is a response to the market sounding that Indonesia had done in Japan at the end of last February," OIKN's Funding and Investment Deputy Agung Wicaksono said.
According to Wicaksono, the visit would be important to build investors' trust by directly observing the development progress in the field.
"This will create trust because building investors' trust is the most important matter," he remarked.
The Japanese business delegation was led by Special Advisor to the Japanese Prime Minister Hiroto Izumi and Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Kenji Kanasug.
Izumi on the testimonial page of the IKN project wrote "great job", which according to Wicaksono, is an important testimony to help to develop the market's trust.
During the visit, the delegates observed the progress of the construction of Sepaku Semoi Dam, Nusantara Point Zero, Presidential Palace, and the Construction Workers' Residence.
Izumi expressed hope that the IKN development could become another mega project construction for Japanese investment after the MRT and Patimban Port projects.
