The book is a continuation of the work from the homecoming public communication team in the previous year, Public Information and Communication Director General at the Ministry Usman Kansong noted through a statement on Monday.
The presence of the homecoming guideline book is deemed to be important, given that the number of homecomers is estimated to sharply rise as compared to the previous years, encouraged by the improving COVID-19 pandemic circumstances.
Through this book, the people can determine when should they travel and through which routes in order to avoid traffic, Kansong stated.
"In this book, there are various (types of) information, such as the nearest gas stations, restaurants, health command posts, and various other locations for resting," he remarked.
In general, the homecoming guideline book contains information, such as important or emergency numbers, homecoming flow peak forecast, crowded routes, traffic engineering, rest area locations, and information on free homecoming program.
Homecomers that use electric vehicles need not harbor concerns, as the locations of General Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) are also presented in the e-book, Kansong said.
"This book is your reading friend for the journey because inside it there is also information concerning the background, history, and various interesting facts concerning the homecoming tradition in Indonesia," he noted.
The link s.id/mudiklebaran not only contains the page to download the e-book but it also provides the latest information, such as the culinary map, traffic monitoring, and homecoming command posts that are spread out.
Expert Staff at the Transportation Ministry Thonthowi Djauhari deemed the guideline book to be immensely beneficial and be able to help people plan for a safe and comfortable homecoming.
Djauhari remarked that the e-book also provides detailed explanation on buses for those using the means of public transportation.
"More importantly, the book contains information on call center when homecomers run out of gas in addition to information concerning the nearest SPKLU location for electric vehicle users," he stated.
