The total number of homecomers increased by 44 percent, from 80 million to around 120 million people, he stated after performing his Eid prayer at Al Abbar Grand Mosque, here, Saturday.
Despite this, he made assurance that the homecoming flow in West Java is relatively smooth.
He then expressed gratitude to workers, who continue to make efforts to ensure the traffic flow and Eid al-Fitr went smoothly.
"I thank workers, who do not return home but smoothly secure homecoming at every post with their respective duties," he remarked.
He also extended greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to journalists that have to work today, and he expects that their duties will be beneficial.

The public's enthusiasm was very high, given that the Eid prayer at Al Jabbar Grand Mosque was the first since the mosque, which had become the West Java residents' source of pride, was opened for the public.
Residents had begun to throng the mosque's plaza area up to the vehicle parking spot since 5:30 a.m. local time.
Kamil said that the premiere Eid prayer at the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque was a historical event. Next year's Eid prayer may also be performed at Al Jabbar Grand Mosque.
"This is a historical event and may become a tradition since it has a good atmosphere, large field, and people can walk around afterwards," he remarked.
