Palangka Raya (ANTARA) - The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan is accelerating the implementation of Thematic Bureaucratic Reform (RB) as per President Joko Widodo's directives emphasizing that bureaucratic reform should have a direct impact on society.

"The RB currently under discussion is Thematic RB. Thematic RB in addition to General RB, which is still relatively new," Head of the Central Kalimantan Secretariat Organizational Bureau Lilis Suriani stated in Palangka Raya on Saturday.

She said it is just how the provincial government makes government work patterns more effective, efficient, and on target that will have an impact on society.

In this thematic RB, the focus in on four aspects: bureaucracy for poverty alleviation, increasing investment, digitizing government administration, to the actual priority programs of the president and vice president.

Thus, the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) encourages the implementation of Thematic RB at all levels of ministries and institutions, including regional governments.

Suriani explained that the provincial government recently held a coordination meeting to prepare for the implementation of the coordination and consultation forum in order to increase the implementation of RB as well as accelerate application of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).

This activity is also part of the preparation for a meeting with the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs that is also planned to sign a joint commitment by the district heads and mayors and governor on May 15, 2024, in Palangka Raya.

"We emphasize improving the quality of the RB of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, so that it will further develop in the future, especially since the provincial government won the title "B" for RB last year," she stated.

Meanwhile, Head of Communication, Informatics, Encryption, and Statistics Service (Diskominfosantik) Agus Siswadi stated that he, as the head of the work team, had distributed tasks to team members from several core regional apparatuses, who were members of the work team.

"With the division of tasks, we hope that the implementation of the coordination and consultation forum in order to increase the implementation of the RB and accelerate the implementation of the SPBE can run well and smoothly," he concluded.
