In a statement issued on Sunday, the minister highlighted the enormous potential of MSMEs in creating jobs and supporting the national economy.
"The creation of jobs by MSMEs can be achieved as long as we have expertise. Thus, digital marketing training is undertaken to train new MSME players to master the market," he said.
Social media currently plays a significant role, he said, as it is not just a space for art creation, but it can also be used to market products and even investment opportunities.
"It is just a matter of how we can deliver the message politely, how we can provide educational content, and how we can be informative," he added.
Through digital training, Uno expects MSMEs to improve their standing and provide a broad impact towards economic improvement and job creation.
The government aims to create 4.4 million new jobs by 2024.
During a work visit to Solo, Central Java, Uno also had the opportunity to attend a public seminar and lecture at Sebelas Maret University.
He urged university students to have a mindset that is brave enough to become entrepreneurs and advised them not to be afraid of experiencing failure since, for an entrepreneur, there is no success without failure.
"Failure is the stairs to success. That is the key to entrepreneurship," he remarked.
