Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chief of the National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has stressed that all police, military personnel, and other stakeholders will ensure optimal security at the 42nd ASEAN Summit to help make it a success.

A security simulation was undertaken to further establish the security pattern for the international event in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, he informed in a statement issued on Thursday.

After directly inspecting the 2023 ASEAN Summit Security Tactical Floor Game (TFG), he said that the TFG will be held with military officials.

The Tactical Floor Game was attended by all National Police (Polri) personnel from the eight ASEAN Summit security task forces.

The task forces comprise the Pre-emptive Task Force, Preventive Task Force, Walrolakir Task Force, Gakum Task Force, Action Task Force, Anti-Terror Task Force, Public Relations Task Force, and Banops Task Force.

Prabowo stressed that all police personnel from the eight task forces must ensure optimal security during the entirety of the event.

There were issues that were reported that have been made the responsibility of these task forces, he said.

Through the Tactical Floor Game, all police personnel will be able to understand their respective duties as well as how to act, especially when they encounter trouble on the field, he explained.

Moreover, the simulation is expected to help establish sound communication and coordination between the police task forces, the military, and other related parties.

Through this training, police personnel are expected to learn how to communicate when receiving information and instructions from the leadership on the field and the Command Center, he added.
