"I hope you all perceive this as a new responsibility, new challenge, as well as an expectation from the Finance Ministry for you to be able to give all your dedication, competency, and professionalism in the new positions," the minister stated as 14 officials were sworn into office, as quoted from the official statement received here on Thursday.
The 14 officials sworn in to fill in the positions in some units comprised the general secretariat, directorate general of treasury (DJPb), directorate of budget financing and risk management (DJPPR), Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF), Government's Investment Agency (PIP), and Indonesian Environment Fund (BPDLH).
Indrawati emphasized that new officials in the general secretariat should be capable of adapting quickly and building the Finance Ministry's reputation as a trustworthy institution while also accentuating that they should formulate legal products that can address all stakeholders' issues.
Moreover, the minister reminded officials of the directorate general of treasury to collaborate in order to face global challenges and meet the national economic needs, both of which had grown increasingly more complex.
"Develop collaboration with the echelon I unit in improving the Finance Ministry's reputation and communicating state budget policies to regions in a good and effective manner," the minister noted.
The minister prompted the BKF to be able to create a state budget fiscal response that can address structural challenges to meet people's expectations. Hence, they are expected to not solely design the state budget for times of normalcy, she added.
Indrawati also urged the newly sworn-in officials of the PIP to always broaden their horizons and to hone their creativity and innovation, particularly in aspects, such as Ultra Micro programs and government investment, both of which are still considered to be significant.
Lastly, the minister expects the BPDLH to be able to establish and build international trust bilaterally and multilaterally as well as with philanthropists and other stakeholders, so as to collaborate and address environmental issues and climate change through the agency's instruments.
