The chief and some high-ranking personnel of the National Police are visiting the Kalibata Cemetery, South Jakarta, to place flowers on the graves prior to the commemoration of the 77th anniversary of Bhayangkara (National Police).
"Today, we and some (high-ranking) officials of the National Police Headquarters and Bhayangkari (an organization of policemen's wives) as well as members of the National Police Headquarters visit the cemetery and place flowers (on the graves). Actually, we do this activity routinely each year before Bhayangkara Day," Prabowo stated here on Friday.
The anniversary is commemorated on July 1 every year. The climax of the event will be hosted at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta on Saturday (July 1).
According to the general, the cemetery visit is undertaken to remember and take in the values that the national heroes have set as examples in fighting.
"Hence, we expect that such examples, values, can serve as motivation, a spirit for the National Police to (welcome) the 77th Bhayangkara Day," he stated.

He expects all National Police personnel to have the spirit to conduct their duties and face all challenges by remembering and following examples set by those late heroes.
Moreover, Indonesia will hold the 2024 General Election, a grand political event, he remarked. General Prabowo deemed it necessary for all personnel and members of the public to collaborate to pursue Indonesia's dream of becoming a developed country.
"In future, of course, we will face many challenges and duties. Moreover, we will enter the political year. We too have to consistently follow up to pursue (the dream of) an advanced Indonesia, and of course, this becomes our collective duty," he remarked.
Prabowo deemed it necessary for all National Police personnel to remember the fights, histories, and positive values upheld by the national heroes. In this way, he believes that it will help to garner motivation for the coming generation to push Indonesia towards greatness.
