HR Asia: Huawei is the Best Company to Work for in Asia

The naming of Huawei as the best place to work is based on the assessment that as a company, Huawei always prioritizes employee comfort and freedom at work. True to one of the pillars of its 'I Do' commitment, Huawei values employees as the most valuable assets in its efforts to support Indonesia's digital transformation process in the 5.0 era. All of the company's HR policies are built with the purpose of empowering the employees to be productive while still paying attention to their needs.

Jeffrey Wang, VP Management Transformation, Huawei Indonesia stated, "Huawei’s vision 'In Indonesia, for Indonesia, and by Indonesia' requires us to always be committed to build Huawei's reputation as the best company in Indonesia. This award is an encouragement for us to carry on the development of our employees and our ecosystem, create more values for our customers, so as to enable Indonesia digital transformation and green economy.”

Huawei Indonesia successfully secured the award after going through a selection process, which included a survey of 50 Huawei employees and several other stages. This selection process took place between March and June 2023.

The assessment covered three pillars, namely the company's Core such as management, structure and policies, Self or the experience and feelings of the employees towards the company, and Group or the teamwork system experienced by the employees.

Mizan Zaini Hamdi, Direktur HR Huawei Indonesia added, "Huawei has been operating in Indonesia for 23 years, and digital transformation isn’t something new for us. Huawei has implemented it in daily activities to create efficient and quality processes. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we switched to an online work system and the transition was fast. In just one month everything has been digitized, including work permits, vaccination plans and status, and daily health monitoring. We also recently received an award from the Ministry of Manpower in recognition of the effectiveness of employee management that we implemented during the pandemic. Before this, we always considered it a part of our everyday business management, but now we realize that this is Huawei's advantage in building a digital-based partnership ecosystem in Indonesia.”
