To increase our export, the keyword is cooperation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan encouraged all stakeholders to bolster cooperation in revving up the exports of Indonesian products, as it necessitates collective efforts.

"To increase our export, the keyword is cooperation," Hasan stated at the launch of the 38th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) here on Monday.

Hasan also affirmed that the trade ministry is committed to bolstering the exports of Indonesian products, including those produced by micro, small, and medium enterprises.

The ministry targets the potential transaction value for the 38th TEI to reach US$11 billion, an increase of 10 percent, from the US$ 10 billion target set for the 37th TEI last year.

Meanwhile, the transaction value recorded at the 37th TEI had reached US$15.83 billion, surpassing its target by over 50 percent.

As the trade expo will take place in a hybrid format, the minister is optimistic that this year's transaction value target would be achieved.

"We hope that this year, we will record a higher transaction value than what we made last year. We will repeat our cooperation this year, and we will do it better," Hasan affirmed.

The 38th TEI, organized by the trade ministry's Directorate General for National Export Development, will be officially opened on October 18, 2023, and take place in a hybrid format.

While the on-site exhibition will take place on October 18-22, 2023, in Tangerang, Banten, the online exhibition will be held from October 18 to December 18, 2023.

Indonesian export products would be showcased at seven exhibition zones of food and beverages; home living; digital and services; beauty and personal care; chemical, energy and industrial products; medical equipment and healthcare; and fashion, textile and accessories.
