The training programs—Coding Mum, Coding Difabel, and Solar Mum—are being held to support the vision of Nusantara as a "World City for All."
In addition to introducing the digital world, particularly programming, the trainings are also being conducted to enhance self-reliance in energy management and develop local businesses.
"Do not tire of preparing yourselves," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono during the launch of the training programs, which was attended online from Jakarta. "Nusantara must be ready to become a city unlike any other."
Susantono stated that Nusantara would become a smart city with various facilities integrated through applications. For example, various civil registration services such as birth and death certificates would be digitally integrated.
Interaction between the government and the inhabitants of Nusantara would also be conducted as efficiently as possible using digital technology, he added.
Therefore, the "Coding Mum" and "Coding Difabel" trainings are being conducted to introduce mothers and individuals with disabilities to the field of programming.
Meanwhile, the "Solar Mum" training is being held as an empowerment effort for the community to utilize renewable energy as one of the distinctive features of Nusantara.
"Programs like this have been successfully implemented in Kenya, India, and Fiji," said Susantono.
He expressed hope that the training will bring benefits, making the new capital city a driver of Indonesia's economy and development in the future.
