"The joint search and rescue team is strengthened with the arrival of the BSG team," Head of the Cilacap District Basarnas Adah Sudarsa remarked here on Saturday.
Sudarsa noted that BSG is an elite Basarnas team with special skills to assist and accelerate SAR operations.
The joint SAR team has 220 personnel that involved the Cilacap, Yogyakarta, and Semarang SAR Offices, the BSG, the military, the police, agencies from the Central Java and Banyumas administrations, community organizations, Nature Lover Student Community (mapala), as well as the local communities.
On the fourth day of the evacuation operation, the joint team was divided into six worksites. In Worksite A-1 at the Bogor Well excavation, the personnel would use five submersible pumps.
At Worksite A-2 in the Dondong Well excavation, the personnel would use two submersible water pumps.
Personnel stationed at Worksite A-3 in Well I would use two submersible water pumps, while those at Worksite A-4 in Well II will use one submersible water pump.
Meanwhile, the team at Worksite A-5, located at the river dam, would use one pump, while two pumps would be used at Worksite A-6 at the Majenang Excavation.
"Hopefully, the evacuation process can go smoothly today, and all SAR elements remain healthy," Sudarsa stated.
