Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor assessed that cooperation between the government, employers, and employees is essential in building harmonious, dynamic, and just industrial relations within a company.

Noor, in his statement here on Thursday, stated that harmonious industrial relations would encourage businesses to develop and boost investment, create jobs, and improve the quality of life of employees and their families.

"These can be achieved if the working conditions' regulation in the company can accommodate the interests of employers, employees, and the government," he stated at the Technical Training on Company Regulations Creation and Education on Procedures for Negotiating and Making Collective Agreements in Bogor, Wednesday.

He remarked that the interests of employers, employees, and the government can be accommodated through company regulations or collective agreements, among others.

According to Noor, company regulations and collective agreements have a role and function in guaranteeing the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees, serving as tools to improve the welfare of employees and their families, and serving as instruments in resolving employees' complaints.

Furthermore, they regulate the implementation of work relations between employers and employees as well as between employees in addition to realizing peacefulness in working and doing business.

Information on company regulations made by employers and collective agreements made by trade unions and employers that have been ratified and registered should be disseminated to all workers, so that they are known and understood and disputes between parties could be avoided.

Nevertheless, in the event of disputes or differences in interpretation regarding the implementation of the regulations and agreements, the settlement must prioritize peace discussion, increase bipartite communication, and prioritize win-win solutions over personal or group interests.

"Try never to involve anyone in solving a problem, because, of course, outsiders will only make the problem more complicated," he stated.

He advised employers to maintain harmony and peace in their companies by continuing to pay attention to the trade union and employees, so that their lives are prosperous.

Noor called on employees and trade unions to continue to improve their skills and boost their competence through reskilling and upskilling.
