Solo (ANTARA) - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno has said that he will continue to monitor a case of alleged harassment at the Miss Universe Indonesia contest some time ago.

He informed that he has also tried to ascertain the impact of the incident on tourism promotion. Currently, similar events are being held in Indonesia.

"We continue to monitor it because this has entered into legal issues. We have to respect the legal process," he said here on Friday.

Indonesia currently has to keep the exit narrative because now Indonesia is also a center for world tourism, the minister added.

"There is top of mind, it was Bali. We (must) keep the exit narrative, so we don't get into trouble," he said.

It was not easy to build a tourism narrative after Indonesia was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, he added.

"Do not let this case damage the image of Indonesian tourism as a whole. Sexual harassment cannot be tolerated. We have to make sure everything goes according to the law," he said.

The minister said there will be an evaluation of the event.

"This event has been completed and we will evaluate it later," he added.
