Jakarta (ANTARA) - First Lady Iriana held a dialogue with students in Badung, Bali, on Saturday, a bid to promote social moderation and tolerance from an early age.

Iriana undertook a working visit to Badung District, accompanied by Second Lady Wury, and members of the Onward Indonesian Cabinet Era Solidarity Action Organization (OASE KIM), according to the Presidential Secretariat's statement received here on Saturday.

At a hotel in Bali, Iriana and her entourage were welcomed by special public schools SLB Negeri 1 Badung students, who performed the Pendet Traditional Dance.

During the dialogue, students, who successfully answered the First Lady's questions, received prizes.

One of the students was Angga, from public high school SMA 1 of Kuta Selatan, who won a bicycle after successfully answering Iriana's question.

Angga said he was elated and will ride the bicycle to school.

"I will ride the (bike) to school because the distance from my home to school is quite close," he stated.

He also expressed hope that the promotion activity on social moderation would increase tolerance among students in Indonesia.

He thanked Iriana and OASE KIM for holding the event to educate students about social moderation and the importance of learning it from a young age.

"Thank you very much for holding this social moderation activity," Angga remarked.

Another student, Avia, also said that she did not expect to receive an iPad from the First Lady. She answered a question on how to appreciate and socialize moderation in Indonesia.

"Thank God, I was not expecting that I was called to the front and would get an iPad from the First Lady. Now, I can keep developing in my study," she remarked.

Avia also invited other students across Indonesia to continue to apply social moderation in daily life.

"You must become a more independent generation, you must be enthusiastic to respect (believers) of other religions," she remarked.
