Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesia Money Printing Company (Peruri) sent its assisted MSMEs to showcase their products at the China-ASEAN Expo (CAexpo) 2023 in Nanning, Guangxi, China, held on September 16-19, 2023.

The event, which was the result of collaboration between the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) of Indonesia and the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia, was opened and attended by Vice President of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin.

At the 2023 CAexpo, Peruri sent assisted MSMEs and their products developed by "Rumah BUMN Karawang" to offer cooperation to consumers in China. The products offered included accessories, bamboo crafts, and fashion.

"Peruri will continue to increase the participation of its MSMEs in exhibitions held both at home and abroad, so that local products can gain a place in the global market, and there will be a multiplier effect on the national economy," Head of Strategic Corporate Branding & TJSL Bureau of Peruri Ratih Sukma Pratiwi noted in an official statement from Peruri, Monday.

Apart from opening the exhibition, Vice President Amin also had the opportunity to visit the Peruri booth to look at the main MSME products that were well-received by the people there.

Rumah BUMN Karawang is a collaboration forum for BUMN for various activities as well as a place to learn and develop MSME players to become quality MSMEs.

Rumah BUMN Karawang also functions as a center for information, education, development, and digitalization of MSMEs.

On the other hand, Peruri has a special program that is in line with the development of MSMEs in Indonesia through the Peruri Digital Entrepreneur Academy for MSMEs that are keen on increasing their business capacity by optimizing the use of digital technology.

"We think that the most important thing is the follow-up, such as collaboration after the exhibition, so that MSMEs can go global," Pratiwi stated.

Peruri assessed that China is a potential market for Indonesian MSME products owing to the high level of consumer interest in accessories, fashion, and bamboo craft products being sold at the 2023 CAexpo.

"It is a very valuable experience to know the market tastes of the people here, starting from fashion, crafts, and accessories. Each country has its own characteristics," Lusy, one of the MSME entrepreneurs assisted by Peruri, stated.
