According to the Vice Presidential Secretariat's statement here on Wednesday, the VP will meet with Greek state leaders, parliamentary figures, and Greek Archbishop Ieronymos II there.
"During his visit, the vice president is specifically bringing the world peace mission through his meeting with Greek Archbishop Ieronymos II," the statement noted.
Vice President Amin arrived at the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport in Athens, Greece, on Wednesday morning local time.
During his working visit this time, the vice president is accompanied by his wife, Wury Ma'ruf Amin, along with a limited delegation.
The vice president's arrival was welcomed by Chief of Protocol of Greece Aglaia Balta, Indonesian Ambassador in Athens Bebeb A. K. Nugraha Djundjunan and his wife Stevanny Djundjunan, and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Rome Aminuddin Albek and wife Irma Febrawati Bima.
When VP Amin and the Second Lady arrived at the hotel, they were welcomed by officials and staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Athens.
Amin also received flowers from two Indonesian children in Athens, namely seven-year-old Fanouria Georgia Papadopulou and 10-year-old Avicenna Farispranawa Virgianto.
On Wednesday, Amin was scheduled to meet 1st Deputy Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament Ioannis Plakiotakis.
On Thursday (November 23), the vice president will meet Greek Archbishop Ieronymos II and visit the Holy Metropolitan Church of Athens and the Acropolis of Athens to see the historical wonder of the Greek civilization.
He is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday (November 24).
Head of Secretariat of Vice President Ahmad Erani Yustika and several advisors to the VP also accompanied Amin in Greece.
