On the occasion, Jamaluddin Rahmat, an elementary school teacher; Anton Nortasiah Rahmi,Central Hulu Sungai Education Office's Supervisor of Junior High Schools; and Muhammad Ramlan, a kindergarten principal; were awarded by the president.
"The president gave awards to teachers for their relentless dedication and efforts to implement the Merdeka (freedom) Curriculum for the sake of advancing education," Nunuk Suryani, Teachers and Educational Workers Director General at the Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry noted in a statement received in Central Hulu Sungai on Sunday.
She explained that the awarding session was initiated by her side as part of the 2023 National Teachers' Day commemorative event themed "Moving Together to Celebrate Freedom in Learning".
"Mr. President awarded teachers and educational workers who have succeeded in creating innovation, dedicating, and inspiring in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum to bring progress to education in regions," she said.
Suryani then noted that the awards serve as the government's appreciation to teachers for their roles and duties.
In addition to school principals, teachers, and supervisors, the government presented awards to heads of childhood education (PAUD) units, PAUD teachers, inspectors, school administration staffs, school laboratory staffs, and school librarians, among others.
Meanwhile, Central Hulu Sungai District Head Aulia Oktafiandi extended his appreciation to teachers and educational workers from the district for their achievements, saying that their successes have set a new record for the district.
He also reminded all teachers and educational workers from Central Hulu Sungai to continue providing the finest services to the nation in the hopes of realizing a better Indonesia.
"I would like to congratulate the teachers for their awards presented by President Jokowi. Hopefully, these achievements will inspire other teachers in Central Hulu Sungai District," he stated.
