Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas made this statement after reporting on developments regarding bureaucratic digitalization to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday.
"So far, each ministry, institution, or local government has its own application. In future, all of that will be integrated," Anas noted.
The minister remarked that the implementation of SPBE already has a policy and governance foundation.
"We already have a Presidential Decree, Architecture Presidential Decree, the One Indonesian Data Presidential Decree, and the Personal Data Protection Law for SPBE. From the governance foundation, we already have an SPBE coordination team, an SPBE architecture team, and achievements in several ministries and agencies," he stated.
However, Anas drew attention to some difficulties in integrating government services in ministries and agencies. Hence, the head of state issued Presidential Decree Number 82 of 2023 that regulates the acceleration of digitalization implementation, he remarked.
"The decree will strengthen governance through involvement of the coordinating ministry. The coordinating ministers were ordered to force ministries and institutions to follow the SPBE architecture, including encouraging the one service portal in each ministry and institution," he noted.

In addition, issuance of the presidential decree aims to build the ability to implement government technology (govtech) and focus on service integration.
The minister then outlined nine priority services set by the government, such as the basic digital identity, data exchange platforms, digital payments, one data portal public service, and a government administration portal.
"We had officiated a regional government information system (SIPD) covering 500 services in one system," he remarked.
The other priority services are online driving license application, social assistance from the Social Affairs Ministry, health service from the Health Ministry, and education assistance from the Education Ministry, Anas stated.
If the government is able to digitize the nine priority services, the minister is optimistic that the step would have a major impact on government administration.
