"This international class program is the Unram rector's priority this year," deputy rector for academic affairs, Professor Sitti Hilyana, said in Mataram city on Wednesday.
The opening of the international program is a part of the public university's endeavors to strengthen its academic reputation to obtain a world-class university status, she added.
Unram has prepared 18 international study programs, Hilyana informed, adding that many international students have confirmed their willingness to register for the programs.
They comprise 19 students from Myanmar, 60 students from Bangladesh, 25 students from China, 20 students from the Philippines, 20 students from Egypt, 30 students from Palestine, and 60 students from Abu Dhabi.
"We will prepare a dormitory for the students and help them get their student visas," she said, adding that they would be taught by Unram's reputable teaching staff who graduated from overseas universities.
Thirty Palestinian students will receive scholarships during their study at Unram, she said.
ANTARA reported earlier that the University of Syiah Kuala (USK), one of the reputable public universities on the Island of Sumatra, has also announced scholarships for 83 Palestinian students.
The scholarships for Palestinian students keen on pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at USK were announced recently by the USK and the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI).
