Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to the wedding ceremony of Prince of Brunei Darussalam, Abdul Mateen, and his wife Anisha Rosnah on Sunday (January 14).

The minister, through her Instagram account retno_marsudi, on Monday, shared some footage of her participation in the peak event of the wedding ceremony held at the Nurul Iman Royal Palace, Bandar Seri Begawan City.

The first female Indonesian FM appeared to wear a black kebaya top and black-brown batik bottom.

"It was an honor to attend the wedding of Prince Abdul Mateen @tmski, the son of the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, and Anisha Rosnah binti Adam in Bandar Seri Begawan," she noted on an Instagram post.

The Malaysian King and prime minister, president of the Philippines, Singaporean prime minister, and King of Bhutan, also attended the wedding ceremony.

President Jokowi was also accompanied by State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, Chief of the Presidential Staff Office Moeldoko, and a member of the Presidential Advisory Council Gandi Sulistyanto.

In a video posted by Marsudi, Prince Mateen was seen wearing a white military suit bearing yellow and golden attributes, while his wife wore a white wedding dress and a tiara, necklace, and a pair of diamond earrings.

"After the ceremony, the bride and groom participated in a parade on the main street of Bandar Seri Begawan," Marsudi remarked. "Congratulations, Prince Mateen," Marsudi stated.

Prince Mateen is the 10th son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and sixth in the succession line to the throne of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.

The prince is relatively popular among international communities, as he has been frequently seen accompanying his father during state visits as well as international forums.

Meanwhile, Anisha Rosnah, granddaughter of a special adviser to the Sultan, is a businesswoman who owns a fashion brand and runs a tourism business.
