Based on the youth and sports minister's report, the IPP in 2022 had reached 55.33, or an increase of 2.34 points compared with the IPP achievement in 2021.
"I ask to continue to improve this (IPP) achievement, so the IPP that we expect to reach 57.67 in 2024 can be realized," Amin said during the Ministerial Meeting on Strategic Cross-Sectoral Coordination of Service for Youths in Jakarta on Thursday.
To achieve this target, he urged the relevant ministries, agencies, and local governments to carry out efforts to accelerate the implementation of youth service and activity programs with adequate budget support.
He also supported the work of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Home Affairs, which are preparing references to help local governments plan their respective regional action plans.
"And I ask that the preparation of these references be sped up so that they can be used in early 2024," Amin stated.
He also said that the dynamics and implementation of the 2024 election should not interfere with the running of youth programs.
"Do not let general elections and regional elections make the youth programs unable to be implemented properly. We must remember that it is important for us to foster and direct young people in accordance with the targets," he remarked.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports earlier reported that the increase in IPP in 2022 was a resource to welcome Golden Indonesia 2045, along with the demographic bonus.
