On the fifth presidential debate on Sunday, he conveyed that the country must improve data on the disabled community, including with the "KTP Sakti" program.
"The identity card is expected to profile each piece of data, including data on people with disabilities; with that, we can accommodate them with anything," Ganjar stated.
He then emphasized that the country must be present and should not forget inclusiveness, including when planning development. Disability groups must also be present and given space for their opinions to be heard so policies can be made according to their needs.
"Everyone will listen to their needs. That is what will come out as public policy. No one will be left behind, and they will get what they need," he added.
The fifth debate on Sunday, which was attended by three presidential candidates, was the closing series of presidential election debates held by the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU).
The five debate sessions, which were attended alternately by the presidential and vice presidential candidates, were an official forum held by the KPU for three pairs of candidates to campaign and compete for their ideas. Previous debates took place on December 12, 2023; December 22, 2023; January 7, 2024; and January 21, 2024.
The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) determined the participants of the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections, namely the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar with official number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka with official number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD with official number 3.
The final debate for the 2024 presidential election on Sunday discussed issues ranging from education, health, employment, culture, information technology, as well as social welfare and inclusion.
The KPU has set a campaign period from November 28, 2023, to February 10, 2024, followed by a voting day on February 14, 2024.
