"We have prepared parking lots to welcome the visitors," Ragunan Zoo's public relations staff, Wahyudi Bambang, said here on Monday.
The management has prepared the facilities and infrastructure so that all visitors can be comfortable during the Eid holiday, he added.
He said that, in addition to parking lots, his side has installed portable toilets at several points in the zoo premises.
"We have prepared supporting infrastructure such as portable toilets, ticket counters, and so on," he added.
The zoo has also put up Eid al-Fitr-themed decorations, such as ketupat or diamond-shaped rice cakes as well as other ornaments related to Eid, he informed.
He said that there will be no animal show during the Eid holiday, however, one of the animals will celebrate its birthday during the period.
"The Eid holiday, there will be a gift-giving to one of our gorillas who happens to be having (its) birthday," he added.
Earlier, Ragunan Zoo said that it has readied one thousand officers to ensure the comfort of visitors during the holiday.
The addition of officers is aimed at providing better services to visitors during the Eid holiday since the number of visitors is predicted to increase compared to the previous year.
During the 2023 Eid holiday, the number of tourists at the zoo reached 750 thousand, and this year, the zoo is expecting 800 thousand visitors.
Therefore, the zoo management has decided to deploy more officers, who have been strictly selected for the holiday season.
