JNT Senior General Manager Truly Nawangsasi said in Jakarta on Saturday that the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road in North Sumatra recorded 20,327 vehicles, an increase of 55.7 percent from the normal daily traffic of 13,057 vehicles in 2024.
Meanwhile, the Balikpapan-Samarinda toll road section in East Kalimantan recorded 17,066 vehicles passing, an increase of 66.6 percent as compared to 10,244 vehicles on a normal daily basis in 2024.
For the Nusa Dua-Ngurah Rai-Benoa Toll Road in Bali, 48,195 vehicles were recorded to have passed, an increase of 8.2 percent, from 44,561 vehicles normally in 2024.
Toll road users are advised to take necessary precautions for travel during the long Eid holiday.
He said that before entering the toll road, it is necessary to ensure that the vehicle and driver are in best condition, ensure sufficient fuel, and electronic money balances, and comply with signs and directions from on-field officers.
Tired travelers are advised to immediately head to the nearest rest areas.
Road users on the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road can take a break at a rest area located at KM 65 in both directions.
Road users on the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road can unwind at a rest area at KM 36 towards Samarinda and KM 37 towards Balikpapan.
