Jakarta (ANTARA) - President-elect Prabowo Subianto considers the 2024 election dispute hearing by the Constitutional Court (MK) as a healthy dynamic for Indonesia's future, according to his national campaign team's media center.

"For him, all views, thoughts, and debates that occurred in the MK trial are very good and brilliant for the future of Indonesia," said Ahmad Muzani, secretary general of the Gerindra Party, during a press conference on Monday.

Muzani said that Prabowo, who is also the Gerindra Party chairperson, actively monitored the entire MK trial and engaged in discussions about the arguments presented during the court session.

Prabowo also consulted with trusted individuals regarding the dissenting opinions expressed by several MK judges in Monday's ruling, he added.

However, Muzani emphasized that Prabowo's engagement in the discussion about the trial aimed to absorb diverse perspectives, which would serve as valuable experience when he assumes leadership.

"He deeply respects MK judges who exercised their rights in the trial," he said.

Muzani expressed hope that the MK ruling will prompt all parties to work together to build a better nation.

Earlier, the MK ruled against the legal challenges filed by Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD against Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who secured victory in the recent presidential election.

The verdict on the election dispute was delivered by Chief Justice Suhartoyo during a hearing at the MK Chamber in Jakarta on Monday.

The two camps filed separate election petitions challenging the results, and the MK justices read out the verdict rejecting the legal challenges in succession at the same hearing.

The court ruled that Anies-Muhaimin's and Ganjar-Mahfud's challenges to the election results, seeking to annul Prabowo and Gibran's victory, were not legally reasonable.

While five out of the eight justices ruled against the challenges, three justices—Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, and Arief Hidayat—offered dissenting opinions.

With the verdict delivered, Prabowo and his running mate, Gibran, will now await their official inauguration, scheduled for October 20.
