"We are offering strategic projects, such as irrigation modernization, drinking water, dams, and PLTA. We hope those will be included in the compendium," Expert Staff of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for Technology, Industry, and the Environment, Endra S. Atmawidjaja, stated on Tuesday.
He remarked that the strategic projects proposed by Indonesia comprised those already running, those that would be running, and new initiatives.
These three types of projects were then collected in a compendium which is an attachment to the Ministerial Declaration at the 2024 World Water Forum (WWF).
"The project compendium is not only for Indonesia. Other countries will also participate since this is a global forum," he remarked.
Regarding the offer of strategic projects worth US$9.6 billion, Atmawidjaja elaborated that this figure was not only intended for Indonesia but also for strategic projects from other countries.
"I have not seen the exact nominal amount, but this figure will continue to grow," he remarked.

He then summoned all ministries, institutions, and the community to contribute to the success of the 10th WWF in Bali on May 18-25, 2024.
He also expressed hope that the WWF would bring a positive impact to Indonesia, such as promoting Indonesian tourism and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bali.
"Moreover, it should promote Indonesia's image at the global level, with our strong leadership," he affirmed.
The 10th WWF will focus on four topics: water conservation, clean water and sanitation, food and energy security, and mitigation of natural disasters.
A total of 244 sessions in the forum are expected to provide concrete results regarding the mainstreaming of integrated water resources management (IWRM) on small islands, the establishment of a center of excellence or best practices for water and climate security, or the Center of Excellence on Water and Climate Resilience (COE), as well as the establishment of World Lakes Day.
