Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Manpower Ministry has urged vocational training instructors to continue to improve their skills and competence, including by participating in the Instructor Expertise Competition (KKIN).

The ministry's secretary general, Anwar Sanusi, conveyed the statement at the 2024 Regional-Level KKIN in Padang, West Sumatra, on Wednesday (May 8, 2024).

"I hope that work units whose instructors have succeeded in stepping up to the national level will pay special attention and motivate them so that later they can compete optimally at the national level," Sanusi said, according to a press release received here on Thursday.

He also congratulated the vocational training instructors who succeeded in becoming champions and will take part in the next stage, namely the national-level KKIN.

He expressed his appreciation to all instructors who participated in the competition.

He also thanked the Padang Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP), the jury, supervisors, the technical team, and the committee who worked hard to make the competition a success.

"Hopefully, the end of this activity will not dampen the steps and enthusiasm to always compete with health and integrity," he said.

The regional-level KKIN in Padang was attended by 140 participants from 14 fields of expertise.

The participants came from regional vocational and productivity training centers (BBPVDs), the Regional Technical Implementation Unit, the Job Training Center (BLK), Community BLK, Job Training Institutions (LPK), as well as the business world and the industrial world, among others.

The areas of skills included electrical installation, electronics, welding, cooling and air conditioning, motorcycle automotive, light vehicle automotive, graphic design, CAD mechanical engineering design, IT software solutions for business, fashion design, beauty, restaurant service, cabinet making, and barista.
