President Jokowi welcomed the heads of state and delegates of the 10th World Water Forum who attended the dinner and expressed gratitude for their participation in the forum, which is held in Bali from May 18 to 25.
"Please enjoy your dinner and the performance from Indonesia," he remarked.
On that occasion, President Joko Widodo welcomed one by one the arrival of heads of state and delegates of the 10th World Water Forum at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park.
Sunday's welcoming dinner featured Indonesian traditional cuisines and art performances in line with the theme of the World Water Forum.
Indonesia was chosen to host the 10th World Water Forum, themed "Water for Shared Prosperity," during the General Assembly of the World Water Council in Senegal in 2022.
The forum will discuss several crucial sub-themes related to water, such as water security and prosperity; water for humans and nature; disaster risk reduction and management; governance, cooperation, and hydro diplomacy; sustainable water finance; and knowledge and innovation.
More than 200 discussion sessions will focus on strengthening capabilities in handling various challenges in the provision of clean water for all.
