"Regarding land issues, the direction from the president (is that the approach should) be oriented towards the people," Antoni remarked.
Antoni made this statement at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Monday, after being appointed by President Jokowi as Acting Deputy Head of OIKN to replace Dhony Rahajoe.
Based on information from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), 2,086 hectares of land in IKN are riddled with problems that need to be resolved through the Community Social Impact Management (PDSK) approach.
The scheme prepared by the government is in the form of relocation and compensation for communities whose lands are used for IKN development. If no agreement is reached, the IKN Authority will move the construction location.
Antoni explained that legal certainty regarding the land status was important to guarantee investors on the IKN development process.

With the assignment of the new task, he would immediately develop a work system in accordance with the president's direction and Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning IKN.
Antoni, who also serves as Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, called his assignment as Acting Deputy Head of OIKN a big mandate that must be carried out.
"I have a big mandate. I hope I can perform," he noted.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of OIKN, Basuki Hadimuljono, is offering a buying and selling and rental scheme for land owned by residents at the IKN construction site.
He stated that this policy was adopted to increase interest among investors.
"We will immediately decide the status of the land in IKN, whether it will be sold or leased. We want to accelerate the process, so investors no longer hesitate to invest at IKN," Hadimuljono revealed.
