"Through research on the environmental impacts of FPV facilities, the development of standards and guidelines for managing risks in FPV installations, as well as better regulations and policies to facilitate the development of FPV projects," Hadimuljono noted in a statement from the PUPR Ministry, Thursday.
The minister made the remarks during a bilateral meeting with Minister of Water Resources and Energy of Tajikistan, Daler Jum'a Shofaqir, on the sidelines of the 3rd Dushanbe Water Action Decade Conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on Tuesday (June 11).
Hadimuljono commended the development of renewable energy potential in Tajikistan.
One of the laudable achievements is the development of hydroelectric power plants, in the form of the construction of the Nurek Hydroelectric Plant, which has a capacity of more than 3,000 MW and produces around 50 percent of the total annual energy needs in Tajikistan.
"Indonesia is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by implementing a transition to renewable energy sources, one of which is through building hydroelectric dams," Hadimuljono affirmed.
The minister highlighted that Indonesia has built around 248 dams until 2024, 187 dams before 2015, and 61 dams during the 2015-2024 period.

Meanwhile, according to the 2021-2030 RUPTL, Indonesia's hydropower potential can be increased to 16,027 MW.
A total of 43 out of the 61 dams built in the 2015-2024 period have a hydroelectric potential of 255.15 MW.
Among the 248 dams, some 246 dams also have the potential for running floating photovoltaic (FPV) solar power plants of up to 13,575 MW.
Hadimuljono also lauded Tajikistan for participating in the 10th World Water Forum in Bali on May 18-25, 2024.
"Thank you very much for the participation of the Tajikistan delegation at the 10th World Water Forum that really added great value to the event. I believe our countries have the same vision for efficient and integrated water resource management," the minister affirmed.
Minister of Water Resources and Energy of Tajikistan, Daler Jum'a Shofaqir, praised Indonesia's success as the host of the 10th World Water Forum and expressed hope that Indonesia would continue to strengthen water issues at the global level.
"We invite Indonesia to be involved in a partnership to strengthen the position of water in the global agenda that Tajikistan is developing together with the Netherlands, Senegal, and the United Arab Emirates," he stated.
"We hope that Indonesia can continue its leadership in achieving resolutions and engage in interactive dialogue," he added.
