Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Greater Jakarta Police along with the Jakarta Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) held sports event series as part of the 78th National Police (Bhayangkara) Day commemoration.

"On this occasion, we hold a sports event with the Jakarta Forkopimda," Chief of the Greater Jakarta Police, Inspector General Karyoto, stated here on Wednesday.

The sports event was held at the Police Presisi Stadium in South Jakarta.

According to Karyoto, the activity was a form of commitment to boost synergy and cooperation not only within the National Police but also with all elements of society and other stakeholders.

The joint sports activity would not only foster friendship and togetherness but also serve as an effort to maintain health and fitness.

He believes that police personnel would be more adept at performing their duties and fulfilling their responsibilities if they were in better health.

The inspector general assessed that Bhayangkara Day is a very historic and significant occasion for the National Police.
