Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian and Albanian governments moved to bolster cooperation in the employment sector through the signing of a letter of intent (LoI) in Jakarta on Friday.

According to a statement received here, the LoI to strengthen Indonesia and Albania's capacities in several employment fields was signed by the Manpower Ministry's secretary general, Anwar Sanusi, and Albanian Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Olta Manjani.

"This reflects our joint commitment to develop further and strengthen friendly bilateral cooperation and encourage safe and orderly migration flows, as well as upholding the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and mutual respect," Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah said at the event.

The minister explained that the cooperation in the employment sector would cover labor norms and standards, social security systems, vocational training, employment for the younger generation, labor market improvement, social protection for migrant workers, and human trafficking eradication.

She said that the cooperation will create opportunities in keeping with the principles of equality that uphold mutual benefit and respect.
