Anas made the announcement after attending a limited meeting on the transfer of civil servants to the future capital city with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.
"Regarding the 2024 recruitment of civil servants, we would like to inform that 130,341 positions are available at central government institutions, with 600 of them being at the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) and 40,021 at various ministries and agencies at the IKN," he pointed out.
The minister further underlined that the government had decided to allocate five percent of the 40,021 positions at ministries and agencies to talents native to Kalimantan Island, where Nusantara is being developed.
"We have agreed to dedicate five percent of the positions to the finest sons and daughters of Kalimantan. This means that around two thousand Kalimantan's fresh graduates will join the recruitment of 40 thousand candidates that we will open in the July-August period," he remarked.
He also highlighted that the government had devised scenarios for the relocation of civil servants serving at central government institutions in Jakarta to the IKN that will be carried out in stages.
The government is also planning on transferring civil servants serving at regional governments to Nusantara by organizing an open and competitive selection process, he stated.
"This (selection process) is aimed at ensuring that civil servants to be transferred from regional governments in Kalimantan are those possessing high quality, (are adept at) multi-tasking, and capable of providing digital services in accordance with standards of the electronic-based government system," he remarked.
