"Digital transformation is developing quickly and requires a shift in the paradigm and adjustments. This discussion seeks the best strategy in the use of AI and digital platforms to realize digitalization of the education field,"
Depok, West Java (ANTARA) - The University of Indonesia (UI) secretary Agustin Kusumayati affirmed that collaboration between universities and their partners, or called the N-Helix collaboration, is important to realize the optimization of artificial intelligence (AI).

Kusumayati noted in her statement here on Friday that over the past three days, the university had held discussions on integrating technology into education, efforts to improve digital skills, and the importance of ethical and inclusive AI implementation.

"We hope that the collaboration and ideas shared here will bring a positive and sustainable impact on higher education in the future," she stated.

The UI secretary pointed out that the biggest challenge in education digitalization is reaching remote areas that are difficult to access.

Hence, Kusumayati affirmed that the digitalization of education requires cross-sectoral collaboration, especially in the field of supporting infrastructure.

"Digital transformation is developing quickly and requires a shift in the paradigm and adjustments. This discussion seeks the best strategy in the use of AI and digital platforms to realize digitalization of the education field," she remarked.

This year, UI held "THE Digital Universities Asia 2024" themed "Inclusive Education for the Digital Age" on July 1-3.

Attendees at the event comprised academicians, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore the importance of inclusive education in the era of digital technology.

The international conference was an important milestone for UI to improve its ranking at the regional and international levels.

Around 400 participants from 25 countries in Asia, America, and Europe were present to exchange their ideas, increase global engagement, and find solutions to issues related to the use of digital technology in the education sector.

Moreover, Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation of the Nusantara Capital City Authority (OIKN) Mohammed Ali Berawi and 80 other speakers were present to fill the 30 sessions in the conference.
