“We are committed to safeguarding the OAI through robust firewall protection. Additionally, we maintain data backups outside the National Data Center,” Trenggono stated, referring to the integrated system that hosts various government online services.
The OAI is a web-based platform designed to showcase the economic, ecological, and social values of marine resources. It also facilitates the analysis of environmental impacts resulting from human activities at sea, including fisheries operations, infrastructure development, and marine tourism.
The system has seven data components, including ecosystem assets, marine economy, and marine wealth.
Utilizing dynamic data processing, the OAI provides real-time information aligned with current conditions.
"We lacked precise insights into the changes occurring in our seas," he said. "The OAI enables us to monitor developments and assess the overall condition."
The system also supports sustainable marine resource management across various stages, including planning, licensing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Trenggono also revealed ongoing efforts to enhance the OAI. Satellite procurement and the deployment of sea drones will further bolster the system’s performance.
To date, the system has successfully connected with 10 marine areas.
