Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for the first time from the Indonesian State Audit Board (BPK) following an examination of the Nusantara Capital Authority Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2023.

"(Unqualified) Opinion (WTP) is a proud achievement because as a state institution that was only formed in 2022, or is said to be still 'infant', but the first time it submitted a financial report, the Nusantara Capital Authority received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from BPK," Ad Interim Vice Chairman of OIKN Raja Juli Antoni said at the LHP Handover Ceremony for the Financial Report 2023 of OIKN, as noted in a press release in Jakarta, Tuesday.

According to Antoni, this first achievement from BPK indicated that the OIKN had fulfilled its obligations in presenting financial reports fairly in all material aspects in accordance with the Government Accounting Standard (SAP).

It also illustrates that the management of state finances that OIKN carried out is in accordance with good governance and statutory provisions.

In his speech, Antoni advised the OIKN to continue to maintain its commitment to good state financial management.

"We are grateful and proud of the WTP that was given by BPK. This was clear evidence of the Nusantara Capital Authority's commitment to always maintaining good governance in managing state finances from the start. We will also continue to strive to maintain these high standards in every aspect of our operations, as was stated by President Jokowi that WTP is an obligation," he remarked.

On the same occasion, Secretary of OIKN, Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya, advised OIKN internally to realize the importance of WTP status to gain credibility in the public sphere.

“Today's WTP results have two big notes that should be of common concern. Apart from being an obligation, we also have to maintain credibility in the public (sphere) and investors in financial management," Adiwijaya remarked.

Main Auditor of State Finance III of BPK, Edward Ganda Hasiholan Simanjuntak, expressed his appreciation to the OIKN for the synergy that was established.

"On this auspicious occasion, we would like to thank the Ad Interim Chairman of the OIKN and his staff for the synergy that has been established so that BPK can optimize the implementation of its mandate as an external government audit institution that is free and independent in overseeing state finances," Simanjuntak stated.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Ad Interim Chairman of OIKN, who is concurrently Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, also received the BPK team at the PUPR Ministry office to receive the audit report with the WTP results.
