In his statement on Thursday, Sadikin said that his ministry owns a vast number of plots across Indonesia, though many of them have not yet been protected by administrative and legal measures.
"We seek assistance in organizing the documents, so they are not just registered with the Finance Ministry but also with the Agrarian and Spatial Planning Ministry," he said.
According to its legal bureau, the Health Ministry is currently facing 24 agrarian cases, four of which have been resolved through litigation and the rest through non-litigation.
In some cases, such as Semarang's Dr. Kariadi Hospital, Jakarta's Health Education Training Hall, and Tangerang's Sintala Hospital, non-litigation resolutions have been adopted. Sadikin noted that issues arise when people wrongfully claim plots.
He also affirmed that the government is committed to resolving the situation without raising more conflicts.
In the same statement, Yudhoyono affirmed that his ministry will assist the Health Ministry in documenting assets and resolving land issues.
He pointed out that conflicts arise among the public, between people and corporations, between people and the government, or involve a combination of these parties.
Yudhoyono noted that those conflicts protracted for decades and involved several people, thereby making it difficult to resolve. However, he affirmed that his side will consistently support the Health Ministry in addressing all issues.
According to his administration's data, currently, out of the 788 items on the National Assets Registration List, only 623 plots have been registered with the Agrarian and Spatial Planning Ministry.
