Task force head Danis Sumadilaga stated on Wednesday that preparations for the ceremony are progressing rapidly. Key infrastructure such as the State Palace, a ceremony square, the government offices, and clean water supply are nearing completion.
The Sepaku Water Intake and Sepaku Semoi Dam will soon provide adequate water supply for Nusantara, he said.
As of July 18, construction of the State Palace and the ceremony square was 87.6 percent complete, while the Presidential Office reached 88.5 percent completion, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing.
Over 1,300 people are working on the State Palace interior, and 1,400 on the Presidential Office.
Phase I of the National Axis ceremony square is finished and ready for the August 17 ceremony. The Presidential Secretariat Office and other support buildings are 93.86 percent complete and operational.
