"Institution that helps the President in the communication and informatics sector has played its role as the digital transformation driver in Indonesia," the ministry's secretary general, Mira Tayyiba, said in a press release issued by the ministry here on Friday.
She noted that digital transformation is no longer a choice but a must to face various challenges that have emerged with the rapid development of technology.
The ministry will continue to innovate to realize a digital ecosystem that is inclusive, fair, and sustainable so that Indonesia can lead in the digital era.
"Our spirit is the spirit of innovation, ensuring that Indonesia is not only a technology user, but also a digitally sovereign nation," she said.
On the 23rd anniversary of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics on Friday, Tayyiba invited all ministry employees to continue to innovate and build collaboration to realize a digitally sovereign Indonesia.
"We believe that with strong collaboration between government, industry, and society, we can achieve a Golden Indonesia that is sovereign in the digital field. This is not just a dream, but a goal that we can realize together," she highlighted.
On its anniversary, the ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to ensure all Indonesians benefit from the digital transformation through the expansion of access to information, which could help improve their economic and social conditions.
