Anas noted in a statement from his ministry here on Saturday that a leader in bureaucracy plays an influential role in helping their team achieve development targets.
He affirmed that an organization's digital capability is significantly determined by human resources factors such as leadership, work culture, and mindset.
So far, an organization's digital capability has been considered to be largely determined by technical factors such as mastery of the most advanced technology, ownership of advanced research and development facilities, or the ability to apply digital technology.
"It turns out that the most important factor in the digitalization process is the quality of human resources, such as leadership capacity, believed values, mindset, and a positive attitude in responding to advances in digital technology," Anas remarked.
The minister underlined the importance of collaboration in accelerating public services through digitalization and improving infrastructure development that the government has carried out.
He explained that today's digital service challenges require changing complicated, complex, and lengthy processes to make them simpler, easier, faster, and more transparent.
He noted that in the future, people will only need to log in once and fill in their data to access various services on one portal, with secure personal data and annulling the need for a photocopy of their ID card.
This integrated portal is based on community needs rather than bureaucratic barriers in each government agency.
He affirmed that the government has a serious commitment to building digital-based public services and improving bureaucracy through digitalization. Indonesia has a GovTech named INA Digital which is an adaptation of success stories of the top 20 countries of the E-Government Development Index (EGDI).
