This is based on the results of the Regional Government Transaction Electronification Index (IETPD) for the first semester of 2024, which stood at 87.9 percent, surpassing the 2024 target of 85 percent set by the Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Task Force.
"It has reached 87.9 percent or 480 regional governments. Of course, it (the number) must be increased," he remarked while delivering a report at the 2024 National Coordination Meeting for Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion in Jakarta on Monday.
Based on the index, 480 regional governments have reached the digital level, while 49 regional governments and 16 regional governments are in the advanced and developing levels, respectively.
For 2025, the task force targets 100 percent of the regional governments to reach the digital level.
According to Hartarto, an improvement in the IETPD aligns with the increase in Regional Taxes and Fees (PDRD).
Furthermore, improvement in the performance of the Regional Digitalization Acceleration and Expansion Teams (TP2DD) has been reflected by an increase in participation and the average TP2DD Championships score.
"The participating regional governments increased from 90.2 percent (2022) to 93.7 percent (2023). Thus, there are already 512 regional governments. Thereafter, the increase in the score is also relatively higher," he remarked.
On the same occasion, State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas stated that the increase in regional governments' digital technology utilization is also reflected by an improvement in Indonesia's e-government score.
Based on the UN E-Government Survey 2024, Indonesia achieved a score of 0.7991, ranked 64th out of 193 countries. With the score, Indonesia entered the Very High E-Government Development Index (VHEGDI) category for the first time.
