"We are still cleaning up the waste in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ)," head of the Central Lombok Environmental Service, Lalu Sarkin, stated on Friday.
Based on temporary data, the total waste transported to the Landfill Site (TPA) reached 35.67 tons during the three days of the event.
Sarkin revealed that the waste at the TPA cannot be recycled. Meanwhile, waste with economic value has been sorted to be transported to the Waste Bank.
"Waste separation is carried out directly in the field. Waste that cannot be recycled went to the TPA," he explained.
Earlier, his side recorded that the amount of waste from the 2023 MotoGP Mandalika reached 25 tons, both organic and non-organic.

According to Sarkin, the management of waste generated from the MotoGP Mandalika continues to improve, with the sorting and recycling carried out at the waste bank.
Meanwhile, Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), Priandhi Satria, stated that based on ticket counter data, the number of spectators for this year's MotoGP at Mandalika reached 120 thousand from a total of 134 thousand tickets available.
"We have not sorted out the data for each day, but this overall figure is based on the results of spectators scanning ticket barcodes at the ticket entrances to the spectator stands," he noted.
Satria remarked that the number of spectators based on his data is similar to Dorna Sport's records.
He noted that the number of spectators at the MotoGP Mandalika this year increased as compared to the previous year, with 102,929 people and 102,801 people in 2022.
Furthermore, state-owned airport operator, PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok Airport, also recorded passenger growth during the 2024 MotoGP Mandalika, which increased by 6.9 percent from the figure recorded during the 2023 MotoGP Mandalika.
