"Through our collaboration with the management of the Hilton Hotel in Mecca and the Al-Anshar Golden Tulip Hotel in Medina, we are prepared to manage hotels for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims," said BPKH CEO Sidiq Haryono in a statement on Wednesday.
Under this partnership, Sidra Capital serves as a fund manager responsible for collecting and managing investments to develop productive assets.
Haryono explained that BPKH Limited has been entrusted with managing hotels in Saudi Arabia to improve services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from Indonesia and other countries.
"With our collaboration with Sidra Capital, we invite investors from Indonesia and abroad to help provide hotel accommodations for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, offering typical Indonesian hospitality at more affordable rates," he added.
Sidra Capital is a sharia-compliant fund manager licensed by the Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority (CMA). Established in 2009, the company is headquartered in Jeddah with offices in Riyadh, London, Dubai, and Singapore.
Separately, the Head of BPKH’s Executive Board, Fadlul Imansyah, expressed the agency’s support for its subsidiary in operating hotels in Saudi Arabia.
"By managing these hotels, we hope BPKH Limited can further optimize the quality of accommodation services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims," he stated.
BPKH Limited, founded on March 16, 2023, has already achieved various business and investment breakthroughs, according to the company's statement.
All profits generated by these ventures will increase the financial benefits for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims and will be fully reinvested to serve their needs.
In 2024, BPKH Limited signed contracts to manage two hotels in Mecca and Medina after previously managing 71 restaurants and canteens at hotels for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in Mecca, in collaboration with Indonesian small business owners in Saudi Arabia during the 2024 Hajj season.
