Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) through its subsidiary, BPKH Limited, has signed a management contract for two hotels in Saudi Arabia thanks to collaboration with a subsidiary of the issuer of Hajj and Umrah service providers and Saudi sharia.

"BPKH Limited has successfully invested in renting a full hotel for three years in Medina for the Umrah season, namely the Anshar Golden Tulip Hotel," Director of BPKH Limited Sidiq Haryono said in a statement here Sunday.

The Anshar Golden Tulip is a three-star hotel with 725 rooms and a capacity of 2,800 people. Besides Medina, BPKH Limited has also received an allotment or allocation of hotel rooms in Mecca, he said.

"We have also signed a contract to obtain an allotment of 200 rooms at the Hilton Convention Mecca, a five-star hotel located very close to the Great Mosque of Mecca with a capacity of 600 to 700 people," Haryono added.

According to him, this agreement is a major breakthrough since his party was able to obtain a significant number of rooms.

This agreement is expected to facilitate the Umrah and Hajj industry in Indonesia to obtain access to five-star rooms in the Haramain area, Haryono stated.

The management contract for the two hotels is made effective from August 5, 2024, he disclosed.

"We have marketed the two hotels together with ABT Limited, and many parties have shown interest in them," he pointed out.

Haryono is optimistic that the investment in Anshar Golden Tulip Madinah and Hilton Convention Hotel Mecca will bring great benefits to the management of Hajj funds.

"We believe these two investments will bring much higher profits than other previous investment instruments. All of the profits will be returned to improve services for pilgrims," he said.
