Based on ANTARA's monitoring, at 4 p.m. local time, the tactical vehicles consisted of 10 Anoa 6x6 Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) and four Indonesian Light Strike Vehicles (ILSVs).
When contacted on Tuesday, head of the Indonesian Military (TNI) Information Center, Major General Hariyanto, said that the TNI will deploy personnel from the three TNI branches, namely the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force, to secure the inauguration ceremony on October 20, 2024.
Hariyanto informed that each TNI unit deployed for the ceremony will be assigned a special duty.
"Every unit will have a special role, such as supervision, patrol, and securing VVIP and VIP guests, to maintain security during the inauguration," he said.
He added that the TNI is collaborating with the National Police for the entire security operation. The military has also prepared a complete security plan for the event.
"The plan includes securing the area around the inauguration location and regulating traffic flow and public access," Hariyanto said.
TNI has also prepared preventive measures against various types of threats and disturbances, which include strictly supervising vulnerable areas.
Prabowo and Gibran, who won the 2024 Presidential Election with 58 percent of the total votes polled, will be inaugurated as the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia at 10 a.m. local time on October 20.
The pair, who will lead the country for the 2024–2029 period, will be sworn in at the Nusantara Building of the parliament complex in Senayan, Jakarta.
