He noted that President Prabowo Subianto's decision also strives to balance the number of coordinating ministers with the increased number of ministries and government agencies.
"The increasing number of coordinating ministers is to ensure effective communication among the ministries, whose numbers have been increased as well," Muzani remarked after attending the inauguration of Prabowo's cabinet members at the Presidential Palace here on Monday.
Muzani also expressed gratitude that the new ministers' inauguration ceremony had proceeded smoothly.
He highlighted the importance of the support provided by cabinet ministers in realizing government policies as envisioned by President Prabowo.
Muzani remarked that the president's inaugural speech, presented during his inauguration ceremony on Sunday (Oct 20), has highlighted the president's vision to guide the ministries in work.
Coordinating ministers in Prabowo's cabinet totaled seven, increasing by three from the four coordinating ministers in Joko Widodo's Onward Indonesia Cabinet.
The seven coordinating ministers in the Red and White Cabinet comprised Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan and Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Penitentiary Affairs Yusril Ihza Mahendra.
The cabinet also consisted of Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno, and Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
Coordinating Minister for People's Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar and Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan are also part of Prabowo's cabinet.
The seven coordinators were inaugurated along with 48 ministers and five ministerial-level officials, namely the attorney general, the intelligence agency chief, the presidential staff chief, the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) chief, and the National Economy Council chief.
